etc......

Squad info

This is a 5v5 Tournament, each squad is required to field 5 players. If a squad is unable to meet this requirement, the offending squad must forfeit the match, and an Admin made aware of the match. If neither team is able to fill 5 positions at the start of the match, the match will be double forfeited.

Server info

UBI has partnered with playlinc.com to allow users to create their own
dynamic servers. Someone logging into the MP game will see a list of
these servers and can choose among them.

Server Types

Matches may be played on a teams server if agreed upon by both teams. UBI has sponsored with Playlinc to provide servers if needed . The version of game will be determined prior to tournament launch as of now it is v1.01.

The Maps by round are:

ROUND 1

l_mp1 - 1st map
l_mp3 - 2nd map
l_mp5 - 3rd map (if needed)

ROUND 2

Unintentional Glitches (movement lock/stuck on ladder/etc.)

If any player experiences one of the "bug" glitches, such as movement lock, stuck on ladder, etc., within 20 seconds of the start of a round AND no kills have occurred that round, they should call for abort. Host should abort that round.

Match Details and Etiquette

All members of all squads are responsible for treating each other with respect during the match. Due to the lack of a language filter, please respect those in the server at all times and please don't be careless with your language. The server as well as all members of each squad should be running the latest patch version announced with tournament. The match play is team survival. Each round is a set 10 minutes in length. The only restriction listed is **Characters are limited to 2 of each class on all teams. (No "all mages"
teams allowed)** .

It is recommended that all teams take a screen shot of the final score screens for each match in case of dispute.

-Match time: All players should join the server on time. Once they have joined they should stay on their respective sides without TKing or killing the other team. This facilitates getting the match started in a timely manner.

-Captains: Two captains from each team will be designated to communicate prior to the match starting and between rounds. These captains should be identified in game prior to the match taking place. No other "global" communication is permitted, however, Good Game or Good Luck prior to and after matches is acceptable. This helps insure that Captains may speak freely without a break in chat to get the match started in a timely manner.

-Player names: You must play on the server with the name you are registered with. For example, if you are registered as TotalCarnage and a member of Team HiFi then you should show up at |HiFi|TotalCarnage. The use of completely different names or names with ascii text is not permitted and will result in the ineligibility of the player for the match. It is understood by TWL that some players have had to add special characters or numbers after their name to register. Please use common sense when determining who players are. Should you have a dispute please contact an admin.

-Reporting: A Captain from both squads should join IRC (listed below) to report the match results to an Admin.

Dropped/Rejoining Players

Due to the nature of the internet it is possible for players to be disconnected from the internet or dropped from a server. Should this happen, players should rejoin at the beginning of new maps or between rounds. Upon joining the server the player must rejoin their respective team immediately.

Cheating

The following are NOT permitted in Tournament gameplay while participating in The EVGA Dark Messiah Official Launch Tournament hosted by Teamwarfare:

- Switching teams after being killed in order to observe the other team's players.

- Anyone (other than official admin) sitting in spectator during a match will be considered observing and subject their team to forfeiture of the match.

- Removing the other team's players by means of kicking or vote kicking.

- Changing the map.

- The use of any client-side modification that enhances your game.

- Exploiting map bugs, including but not limited to going under the map and moving through or shooting from places where flaws in the textures allow you to see through walls etc. Furthermore, if your players body has to pass through a solid object to get an unfair advantage over another player, this is a glitch and you will find yourself forfeited !

- Not following any of the specific rules above (it is a great idea to be aware of all these rules and to have them at hand before starting a server and during the match).

- The use of wall hacks or other cheats that remove the textures from the game.

Violation of ANY of these will result in an automatic forfeit and removal from the Tournament.

To initiate a dispute, please join IRC and contact an admin. Disputes must be reported within 30mins of match end.

Questions, Comments, Concerns, etc.

Any questions or concerns in regards to match play by other teams, players or questions in general can be directed at the admins, who can be found in the IRC channel listed above.

Good Luck!

Remember: Please handle all situations such as server difficulties with a mature, responsible, and reasonable attitude. Good luck and lets make this a memorable Tournament.
