We had to play our match vs OPP last night at 1est as we wouldn't have had enough for tonight's scheduled time. So scrim vs Amish (n00bs, but LS got shanked!), match vs fused(cT,spy), and then a match vs OPP.
We got off to a rough start vs OPP and ended up losing 3-0, but that's not the worst thing.
OPP STOLE OUR STRAT!!!
I'm gathering screenshots and demos right now and I will be getting in touch with everyone we scrimmed this week to find out who leaked the info. Somehow OPP anticipated our defense and then had the gal to blatantly use it against us! We weren't prepared for it as the "Chair D" is so absolutely devastating you cannot adapt or overcome it with anything short of prior knowledge!
Jamandy, the orchestrator of the "Chair D" was so distraught over this that he's stopped mocking Landshark in irc!!! To steal the work of another and pass it off as your own is simply sad.
I just wanted to get this out there so everyone will know to watch out for OPP. They may be cute and spammy, but they have the hearts of cruel masterminds. I will be getting in touch with the TWL admins about this also!

Cry me a River, everyone uses strats from other clans... I happen to know GLOW uses strats stolen or adapted from lots of various One Life teams. Narf might have more copy cat strats than any other team. I know I have watched numerous Narf Demos, and have seen Narf strats being ran by other teams.
Take your loss like men, and if it is your Defense, you should know how to beat it. Every defense has a weakness.
One last thing cry baby, there are only so many strategies worth trying on any map, and I can say teams try a couple different ones until they find one they like.

OH NO, you haters aren't going to get me down! I'm in the right here and I KNOW it. I know that no one else has ever used this tatic. It's that revolutionary! Someone leaked this to them before the match, and that's what I can't stand!
If OPP had any kind of sportsmanship they would have waited till after our match to use it, not against us last night!!! That's not classy, that's n00btastic!
We'll see how you guys feel when you work so hard all week long to perfect a strat that's never been seen before and then have the other team use it against you. Just destroys your faith in the community.

Candy you don't understand...The Chair D is the most amazing D ever conceived by the minds of humans. It has it all. Innovation, originality!
And they took it and made it their own. When you see the screenshots you too will cry a river, that such a brilliant plan could be so callously mocked

This defense is more about the psychological rage it brings. It's not literal bows being dropped on your face, it's emotional bows being dropped on your conscious! You just can't understand until you face it. Someone out there was so emotionally hurt by this defense that they cried out by leaking it to OPP.
WTF am I doing wasting my time with you anyway, you can't possibly understand the Shock and Awe of the Chair D.

OMG they're at it AGAIN!!!! Wipp has used this D against us in the past....they are somehow controling FURNITURE as Defense. In our games with them, I distinctly remember them using the desk against us on Beach.....
DAM U WIPPUH!!!! DAM you and your furniture!!!!! I shall reveal your secrets to ALL!!! As soon as I figure them out.... :/

Candy that's where you're wrong my friend. The Chair D has no weakness. The only reason they ever capped is because after we set it up and all went afk to watch reruns of Seinfeld, 2 of us timed out and got booted. We didn't know it until the commercial break, and by then it was too late.

OH man, The Amish were SO utterly devastated by this d in our scrim before that they were pissed that Affliction dropped Cal-I. This is probably b/c of the fact that Affliction knows that the Amish get pwned by OS once a week and they would see the "Chair D" and get "cha'd" before they had a chance to evaluate it for themselves. That right there is as good a reason to quit cal-i as I can think of.
They were in contact with me last night still, trying to get the schematics of it. I told them that it's a lot tougher than it looks and that I didn't know if their feeble minds could handle it.

When I think our team's strats are being leaked to our opponents before a match, it is serious.
This is the exact reason the Drs never released demos and why LoT hated WTV. You guys are taking Wolf back to the dark ages, as we're internally discussing no more WTV or releasing of demos for OS :/

Have the demo tapes been reviewed yet Zed? This is a serious offense and should not be take lightly. The thought of Wippuh and LS strapped down in a chair brings such fear into the hearts of the allies that they run away screaming, thinking them some vile UFO creature from the Doc room. Please advise us of the situation. Should this be a code Orange alert to the rtcw community???

After much discussion, we've decided to release a jpeg of our strat. This is as much to stop OPP from dominating te_ufo in future seasons as it is to let the people who leaked our strat that they haven't won. OS will regroup and come back with new and improved defenses that will blow your mind!

This thread is utterly rediculous.
Anyone in these forums "CLAIMING" to have invented te "Chair D" is outta their f'n mind. Unless that person is me.
For those of you that don't know, I invented the "Chair D" while playing my 219th consecutive game of Asteroids on June 24th, 1979 in Syracuse, New York at Pudgy's pizza.
It wouldnt be hard for OPP to anticipate however, what other defense would work so well against OS? The couch defense has so many flaws in it it's rediculous and hasn't been run effectively since iN vs abuse, Qcon 02. The trunk in driveway defense was retired with the original wSw. Even the highly anticipated but fataly flawed "peanut butter on dog's tongue" defense show's its head from time to time now a days.
OS=nubs.
